CITY OF SAN FERNANDO -- President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo will be in Clark Freeport Zone on Wednesday to address the Philippines Development Forum (PDF) at the Jasmine Function Hall of Fontana the Fontana Convention Center.

The President is expected to be met by Clark Development Corp. around 11 a.m. at the Freeport's Parade Ground. She will deliver her speech at 11:40 a.m. before the forum participants. She will also have a special lunch with heads of delegation, Cabinet secretaries, and other invited guests.

The PDF is the primary mechanism of the government for facilitating substantive policy dialogue among stakeholders on the country's development agenda. It also serves as a process for developing consensus and generating commitments among different stakeholders toward critical actionable items of the government's reform agenda.

From Clark, Mrs. Arroyo will personally lead the government's delivery of basic social services to alleviate the living condition of the underprivileged families in Sta. Ana, Pampanga.

The basic social justice program of the government brings to the grassroots services that the state offers to the people, including the distribution of Philippine Health Insurance Corp. (Philhealth) cards and certificates to Tindahan Natin and Botika ng Barangay.

Also highlighted in the program to be held at the Sta. Ana Central Elementary School here is the groundbreaking ceremony for a school building, which the President granted through Pampanga third district Representative Aurelio "Dong" Gonzales Jr.

On Easter Sunday, Arroyo led a similar activity at the Skating Rink in Burnham Park, Baguio City where she personally distributed basic goods and services to the poor residents of the country's Summer Capital.

Arroyo is also expected to give away assorted vegetable seeds, Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (Tesda) scholarship training for work vouchers, offer Libreng Tawag sa Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) and medical-dental mission.

The social services to the poor program here will be a part of the nationwide caravan, which Malacañang has launched. (IOF/ABL)
