Well, it's been approximately 11 months since we made the switch from v6 of UBB.threads to v7. The upgrade was really more of a complete rewrite of the software, and in the process we traded a bit of software maturity for a smaller feature set that was more modern.
I've upgraded the board software and some of the server software this evening bringing them both up to the current releases. You may see a few small changes around the system, but the bigger features are "behind-the-scenes".
The upgraded broke a couple of the existing board themes, and I've removed them. The only one I have plans to re-add is the infopop2-om version with larger fonts.
Most of the board downtime was spent checking and optimizing the board database. The new version added some integrity checks that are nice to have, but checking over 600,000 posts takes a bit of time.
- The hover-tooltips preview has been integrated into the software and is no longer a third-party patch.
- The custom title feature is no longer a third-party patch as well.
- I've reapplied the ban status patch I created.
- I've reapplied the patch partitioning Maddog10 and Gator.

Well, I'm happy to announce that we've migrated over to a new server. The old server just didn't have the power necessary to run the board and add on anything new.
The new server has:
- 3x the processing power
- 2x the RAM
- 6x the storage
It may take a few days to get all the little issues worked out. A lot of things have changed 'under the hood'. Let me know if you encounter any issues via PM please.

First, I turned off the right column in the forum/topic display. You can see it on the portal page if you'd like. It just eats too much space. There is also likely a bug in the Shout Box that was causing page loading issues for some Internet Explorer users.
Second, I changed the board subscription process. If you are unable to access all the forums listed, you need to subscribe. Just click the "Click here to Subscribe for Full AC2 Access" link at the top of the page. All memberships are manually reviewed and verified, so there will be a delay between payment and access. This should be less than 48 hours. Membership is still only $25 for 12 months.

AC2 is many things to many people.
To some it is like a daily newspaper.
AC2 is a role playing board game for those who choose to play.
You hide behind your fake nic and never let anyone know the person behind it. That might sound easy, but there are board detectives here who can figure out who you are and learn your writing style's. Once you are known for who you really are. The game is over for you. Best that you get a new nic if you want to continue playing the game.
The key is to never take any flame seriously. It is very easy to get lost in the game.

We don't have that many rules here, so this will not be all that long.
1. No mention of the words underage, or pedophile in any context for any reason.Absolutely no illegal content such as,kiddie porn,beastiality, obscene photographs,nor copyright material are allowed here.
2. Do not post ip addresses,financial details,or personal information about any member, or known person in Angeles City.
3. Do not bash businesses in Angeles for the sake of doing harm to that establishment in such a small town. AC2 is here to promote tourism in this country that we all have come to love.
Respectful complaints about a problem that gives the owner a chance to respond and solve it are welcomed.
4. No flames. Mgmt will determine what constitutes a flame. A flame is any words,phrases or pic's that would tend to inflame another member, or stir up anger,sadness,or grief,with uncalled for criticisms,or annoyances.
5. It is the member's responsibility to keep their mailbox under the standard 50PM limit. That mailbox must remain clear, so mgmt can communicate with you.
Your entire box could be emptied at anytime, if it's full and we need to contact you.

I know that lots of things have moved around, but hopefully everything is easy enough to find. It may take a week (or more) to get all the wrinkles worked out and little features tweaked, but if anything significant is wrong I'll try to make sure it is in an announcement.
